So, we had a great time at our recent DFC workshop with a host of enthusiastic young (and not so young) DFC fans last weekend at the Cartoon Museum in London. Bob and I were there with Zak Simmonds-Hurn (awesome artist and co-creator of upcoming DFC series The Strange Strange World of Weird, which is written by my bro) Sarah Mcintyre (Creator of the excellent DFC fan-favorite Vern and Lettuce) and Adam Murphy (another DFC contributer whose strip will appear in the comic in the future). Basically, it was an awesome day, and we had a real blast discussing ideas on how to come up with fun, exciting comics of your own, and generally chatting to all the children and signing copies of the DFC etc.
And the best part is, Bob and I are doing another mini Monkey Nuts workshop later this month! As part of the BFI's Sunday Film Funday (and as part of the their comicbook movies season) we will be showing up with our box of comicy treats on Sunday 27th July, and it's going to be a great time for all you young DFC readers! Go to
THE BFI SITE for contact details and directions etc.
Right now, though, check out a selection of the piccies from the Comic Museum day, and here's a flyer for the next workshop!
Phew!
Lorenzo!
