MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Well, here it is, my official Blog Twice Chrimbo message! It's like the Queen's speech, only a little less queeny... So, EARLY tomorrow morn I'll be loading up the Amazon with piles of gifts, food and other such yuletidy gubbins, firing up her almighty B20 four-banger twin-carbed crate, and rrrrrumbling allll the way across England to Norfolk, where the Blink Family Mansion will hopefully be alight with all the Christmassy delights imaginable! As usual, Ma and Pops are as excited about it as I am (hey, folks!) and ole' Bertie Woofster the Wonder Pup will have a big red ribbon tied around the scruff of his neck and will be scampering round and round in circles at the thought of all the games of charades and other such Etherington Family nonsense! Before I go though, I wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to all the guys and girls who have supported us in 2006, it's been a wonderful year for the Blink, and each and every one of you has been a HUGE part of that! It's looking like 2007 will prove to be even MORE exciting, but news of that later... This is a time for being with the ones you love, but as usual, there are lots of folks I can't see on Chrimbo day, so to Robster and Meemo in France, William, Karen and Ryan on The boat, my Nan down on the Cornish coast, Marky in London, Alys in Exeter, Kate who'll be here in Bristol, and ole' Cubey out in Valencia, Merry Christmas guys, I hope you all have the most magical holiday imaginable, and I'll be raising a glass of fizzy pop for ya' over in the Blink Family Pile! Finally, to my Esty. Just over six years ago I was down in Cornwall studying at Art School. It was my final year, and it was two weeks before Christmas. Up in a little old pub called the Boathouse, overlooking the wintry bay of Falmouth I sat at a table, and across from me sat the most beautiful girl I have ever met. I had known her for two years as a great friend, disco girl and illustrator, but on this night we weren't just two art students having a few drinks, we were on our first date, and as I looked at her across the table my heart felt like it would explode. And here we are, six years of the most fantastic love and romance later, and about to spend our seventh christmas together, and last night we went for a meal in an old secret pub I had found here in Bristol, and I sat across from her, feeling every bit as excited and nervous and madly in love as I ever have. So here's to you, baby; for making every day feel like that wonderful first date, I love you Esty, more than I could ever say! SMOOCH! Happy Holidays, Cutie! Now, for those of you bored of all this Chrimbo shmultz, CLICK HERE FOR A WONDERFUL LITTLE WINTER TIME GAME! Trust me, it's a beauty! Done that? Good. Now, GO HERE FOR THE GREATEST CHRIMBO SONG EVER! Seriously guys, just wait for that white reindeer's solo - pure genius! So, Merry Christmas, and I'll see you back here soon! Lorenzohoho! |

Well, I wanted to get a shot of the Great Hall here at Blink Towers with all it's majesty and beauty dressed up for christmas. As usual the local village folk have donated a delightful 35-ft Pine monster to grace the main rotunda in the reception hall of the East Wing, and boy does it look fine! However, cook says that what with all the preperations for the Grand Yuletide Blink Ball and suchlike, there's no way I can get in there "causing mischief" with my camera while the staff are getting the place ready. Huh! Who owns this ole' family pile anyway, eh? Sheesh! So, as I seem to be banished to the 5th floor Library for the moment I thought I'd take a shot of one of the 50 or so "smaller" trees we've got dotted around the place. This one's my favorite, 'cos my beutiful Esty decorated it in the most decadent "vegas" style she could! Lovely! Now, pull up a pew by the fire, grab a mug of Charlie Choc's Hot Chocolate, and I'll read you a few pages from this old leatherbound first edition of Fikov's Grand Dangmas Adventure... " It was a Dangmas Eve like any other, and Fikov was in a terrible mood..." Lorenzo! |

After 3 years, 300 pages of script, 220 pages of art, tons of covers, one glorious website, various specials, sketchbooks and suchlike, it's time for Malcolm Magic to finally hang up his ears. Without the dedication, enthusiasm and downright genius of my partner in command and bro Robin, who created this entire adventure from scratch and then penned each issue in a way which a dumba$$ like me could understand ("Malcolm goes on the left of the panel...the LEFT. No, your OTHER left.." etc) none of this would EVER have happened. So thank you bro, for showing me that a little spark can start a VERY large engine. And of course, thanks to Marky, who has allowed us to take our pencilled and typed silliness and spill it over the internet like a freshly bought pint of ale! Marky, you rock, and continue to amaze us! So join me, Gents, up here on the bridge, and each grab a wheel, 'cos we've got a bigger ship to pilot now, and MOON! ain't gonna drive itself you know... HA-ZAA! We did it! Lorenzo! P.S. Cheerio, Malcsy, I love ya' pal! |

So, here it is, the first (and quite probably ONLY) ever Malcolm Magic con print!! As we prepare to say goodbye to the funny bunny, we thought it appropriate that we finally give folks something to hang on their walls with his silly face on! HOW MANY of these little gems are we releasing? Why, just TWENTY. WHERE are we releasing them? They will only be available at THE BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL COMIC SHOW, this weekend (9th-10th Dec) at the custard factory in Birmingham (obviously) and will be on sale unframed for the gloriously low price of just £7. Each print will be numbered and signed. Here's a shot of the print, along with a (typically blurry) shot of my one framed on the red, red walls of the Great Blink Hall See you there, folks! So, it's just a few days until the Blinkety-Blink scrabble over to Birmingham, and boy am I excited!! Well, when I say the TEAM Blink, I mean me, since Bobber's in France now and Marky's got a prior engagement! Fear not, however, chums, for I will not be alone at said show, for we will have the very special honor of my OTHER brother, William attending to rock the joint and generally keep things groovin'! While William isn't a comic creator, he's responsible for introducing me to Asterix AND Calvin and Hobbes when I was a youngster, so you could say he's had as much to do with creating the Blink as anyone! Awesome! Thanks for your help bro, and Happy Birthday (very late!!) |

Hello, my frrrrosty Binkateers! Greetings from the Blink Winter Palace on this the first day of December! Ah! Smell the Ko-Ko Cook's prepping down in the servant's quarters! Lovely! So, if there's one thing that irks me about science fiction movies/TV/comics/games, it's those bland industrial corridors that so much of the action seems to take place in. I'm like, "2,000 years of scientific and artistic development, and they still paint everything GREY?!!!" Hoho! Personally, I'm much more of the Fifth Element/Futurama school of Sci-Fi thought, and you can expect MOON! to be the same. Here, then (pre-tooth-popping-technicolour!) is a typical corridor from the MOON! movie studios...! Enjoy, fellow Blinkers, more every few days! Lorenzo! |
